We were Live with Billy Idol drummer, Erik Eldenius, who killed it Monday at The Fonda Theatre, backing up Billy, Jack Black, Gavin Rossdale, Juliette Lewis, and everyone else he played with. I call him a full-body drummer, the way he attacks his kit. A monster. In the best possible way. We chatted about growing up Swedish, say what... yup, Swedish is his first language... getting his first kit at 4, playing Kiss, and then many years later playing a festival with Gene and Paul looking on... his first tour... session work, Cher's wondrous ass, touring with Donna Summer, his years playing with Billy, who's making a huge resurgence... playing with Steve Stevens, Jeff Young and Jackson Browne... don't let the mohawk fool you. Eric’s a sweetheart of a guy. He smells good, too.
