Sexual abuse should never be trivialized and certainly not eroticized. The parents of Leander ISD in Texas are combatting the school district over their approved list of sexually explicit books that eroticize sexual abuse, adult child "romantic" relationships, sexual violence and racism. The books are written at a 3rd grade reading level, but Leander ISD continues to defend these books as literary achievements that address "diversity."
