In this episode of "Story Time with the Dangerous Gentleman," I share a dark chapter from my past. I talk about my severe drug and alcohol addiction in the summer of 2016, when I hit rock bottom. Homeless and struggling, I often slept in my car or at various places, separated from my kids. My family didn’t know the full extent of my struggles.

A turning point came when my attorney, counselor, and social worker warned me that I was at risk of losing my children if I didn’t change. Faced with this, I confessed everything to my twin brother and mother. They, along with my father, devised a plan to help me start fresh in Colorado. My brother's friend offered me a job, and my family bought me a bus ticket to Colorado Springs. Despite nearly sabotaging my own rescue, I made it to Colorado, where my family supported me in getting clean and rebuilding my life.
