She survived The Moonies!
An interview with Virginia P:
AKA Hippy cat lover.
She is a survivor and fighter.
Virginia was born in San Francisco and is a genuine bona-fide hippie who was at the heart of the whole counter culture revolution in the 1960s – she was and is the epitome of the earth mother – she is flower power personified.
As a spiritual seeker, she has lived in communes and Tipis… read all the books and followed the gurus.
Then…in 1976, searching for meaning and spiritual enlightenment, and unafraid to try anything, she was introduced to the Cult of the Moonies - that is, she fell under the spell of the infamous Reverend Moon and his teachings.
She spent 2 years in the cult before escaping and undergoing deprogramming, and then spent the following 10 years travelling around the world helping to deprogram other cult members.
Since then, she got sober in 1987 and was a psychiatric nurse, before becoming n multi-award winning school teacher in California…it’s also worth mentioning that she is a survivor of the deadly Paradise Fires in 2018.
She is also a talented painter.

We promote tolerance and empathy for folks who have different spiritual practices than us. It's all about Live and Let Live.
Please remember that this is not an AA meeting... it's just some people's version of the truth – whatever that may be.
Sometimes we talk to seekers, to gurus and to people not necessarily in recovery.
