Today, my friend, we are going to address one of the most common struggles we all face: the busyness syndrome.
I already know you are feelin' me so let me ask you a question: "How big is your to-do list? How many things are on your plate daily that you need to do or create or figure out? AND...what if I tell you that the need to be always BUSY is a response to trauma and self-worth?"
Since I am currently in the process of recovery from what I believed was an insane work ethic AKA obsessed workaholism (tool for numbing), I want to share with you something quiet important when it comes to all those things we think we HAVE to do.
Yep...sounds scary, but stick with me here, I promise it's worth it.
In today's podcast episode, I will talk about:
- how doing nothing helped me with addressing some of my deepest traumas, the fact that I haven't spoken to my father in 11 years, and an insane amount of limiting beliefs I carried around - why being busy is an armor we use for emotional numbness - two things we need to keep in mind when it comes to slowing down and addressing old pains - why what scares us the most is what we need to face and heal - 8...or 10-second rule I learned from Brene Brown that transformed the way I handle uncomfortable emotions like shame, pain, and guilt
