Meet double Pulitzer-prize winning photographer Essdras M Suarez, who was an award winning photojournalist for 20 years with images published in the National Geographic, Time Magazine, The New York Times, and the Washington Post, amongst others.

He was a staff photographer at the Boston Globe for 12 years where he received national and international accolades for his coverage of stories including the Columbine Shooting, the Boston Marathon Bombing, the Newton Massacre, the 2015 tsunami aftermath, Iraq war coverage and more.

Suarez shares with Sally the unlikely story of how he became a photographer in the first place, the most difficult moments for him behind the camera, as well as how he developed such a talent for capturing prize-winning images all while bullets are flying.
