eSSENTIAL Accessibility, a Toronto, Canada-based provider of web accessibility-as-a-service, closed a $16m funding round.

The round was led by Lead Edge Capital.

In conjunction with the funding, Nimay Mehta, Partner at Lead Edge Capital, will join eSSENTIAL Accessibility’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its software platform and pursue rapid geographic expansion.
