While this reflection is being named essentialism, it actually explores three different philosophies concerning knowing: idealism, realism and pragmatism. I'm leaving essentialism as the title as it relates to the an overarching impression I am experiencing about social interactions and the self. This particular episode is set to be Part I to that impression.
