* Mordecai was honored by the king because he had been faithful in the gate.
* He was faithful in his work so God orchestrated events so he could be honored by the king.
* Mordecai didn’t have to manipulate anything to make it happen.
* His job didn’t matter - he could’ve been a baker, butcher, or blacksmith.
* Whatever it was, he did it for the glory of the Lord.
* When he was honored publicly and paraded around on a horse, he got off and went right back to being faithful at his job.
* He was the most popular man in Persia, but he stayed faithful to his work.
* This is the same thing David did when he tended sheep after he was anointed king.
* Be faithful!
