In Esther 7, God's hidden providence gives way to unmistakable justice. At the king's banquet, Queen Esther courageously exposes Haman's wicked plot, and the very gallows he built for Mordecai become the means of his own downfall. This passage reminds us that God's justice is never delayed or imperfect. Pride is exposed, evil is judged, and righteousness is vindicated in the Lord's perfect timing. Esther 7 also points us forward to the cross, where God's justice and mercy meet, as Christ bears the judgment sinners deserve and offers salvation by grace.
