ET 19: Fixing the Jeep's Cooling System

  • My dad and stepmother are going camping in the middle nowhere
  • Jeep upgrades
    • 13.3 inch front brakes
    • Cheap upgrade versus buying a new caliper with bigger brakes without buying a entire new system
  • Broke one set of caliper sliding pins
  • Old brakes had 11.8 inch brake rotors
  • I don't know if driving the 1 ton truck with a camper is worth three days of camping
  • Driving to Lafayette where I bought the Wrangler X (coming up in episode 20)
  • 2012 Wranglers have cheaper junkyard parts than my 2008
  • Got two gaskets for the thermostat housing (I only needed one)
  • The top radiator hose blew off one day
  • Cleaning a bucket so the coolant I need to dump from the radiator can be reused

  • Wobble sockets are helpful if you know how to use them.  I don't
