Ethan Carlson is a music producer/engineer based in Los Angeles California. He grew up playing the trumpet, and in high school began an interest in recording studios. His interests lead him to study at the University of Miami in the Music Engineering program. After graduating, he was hired to work with Barry Gibb on an album for Barbra Streisand. Their working relationship continued for the next four years while Ethan also worked with other pop and latin artists in the Miami music scene.
In 2009, Ethan headed out to Los Angeles and began working in studios around LA and began touring work as a live sound engineer. He's traveled around the world with bands including Tears for Fears, Devo, Taio Cruz, R5, and Cher Lloyd. In town he has worked primarily out of Stagg Street Studio in Van Nuys as well as his own studio, Studio B, in Studio City as a producer and and mixing engineer.
Ethan has also created a music publishing with business partner Claire Courchene called Stereographic Entertainment. Together they work with a collective of writers and artists to create music for film, television and advertising. Some of their recent projects include music for Carhartt, Toyota and Vogue!
