you first knew ether floating in her womb

a lightness, a nothingness

an empty dark hole

that ether created for you

moving all the organs around

space to grow as an embryo

that was your home for 9 months

all you knew was peace

before the world came rushing in

ether exists in the calm, the quiet

in hollow spaces between your bones

moments when your mind is still

for as long as humans

have known this universe

we've eternally tried to fill her space

ether can only be filled with love
