We are taking a deep dive into my number one book of all time. I'm actually going to be narrating and reading the most provocative sections of The Denial of Death by Ernest Becker which won the Pulitzer prize in 1974 if I'm not mistaken. unfortunately Ernest is not with us any longer, but I'm going to be doing a kind of audible style where I'm just reading the book to you with little bits of insight and commentary on addition that I can offer to those listening to it. I strive for perfection so please be patient with me. All in all I invite you to take a trip with me as I reveal to you the actual secret. That secret is that the terror and fear of death are why we have the personalities and societies we have today. It is the motivating factor for everything we do. This is the man's main thesis and I was convinced by the second chapter when I read it at the age of 23. I hope you find it as enriching and insightful as I did when I first read it.
