EU is a “failed state”

Listen Later

MP and Brexit campaigner Jacob Rees-Mogg tells Guy Foster, Brewin Dolphin’s head of research, that the European single market doesn’t benefit the UK. “We are in a sub-optimal economic arrangement that denies us democracy – this is a really bad situation to be in,” says Rees-Mogg in a Brewin podcast ahead of the UK’s vote on whether to leave the EU. He also responds to the fear that a vote for Brexit will trigger a period of uncertainty for the UK following the poll.
