The UN Brief interviewed the recently appointed Tech Envoy of Brazil to Silicon Valley, Eugenio V. Garcia, who will be Deputy Consul General in San Francisco. He will start on the 1rst of September at the Consulate General of Brazil in San Francisco, in the heart of Silicon Valley.
The idea came from recent developments on tech diplomacy, as countries in Europe opened offices to engage directly with technology companies to address issues of mutual concern, trade in services, and to shape policies to stimulate technical and scientific cooperation.Ā
