Cloud was born in Oakland, California, in 1998. He made his acting debut in Euphoria in 2019, playing Fezco, a drug dealer who befriends Zendaya's character, Rue. Cloud's performance was critically acclaimed, and he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2020.

Outside of Euphoria, Cloud had a small role in the 2021 film The Card Counter. He was also set to star in the upcoming film The Whale, opposite Brendan Fraser.
