Evan Dyer: Donald Trump picks fight with Canada over G7 comments

Donald Trump's threats to Canada may be part of a plan to forge closer ties with North Korea - but experts claim the strategy is flawed.
The feud between the US and the Canada has seen the US President's advisors go on the assault with the Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau, claiming he's stabbed the US in the back.
CBC reporter Evan Dyer told Mike Hosking it's being seen as a way to make Trump look strong and powerful ahead of his historic meeting with the North Korean leader.
But he's described it as bizarre to pick a fight with a closest ally, to prove strength.
"The fact that he signed the communique and then two hours later unsigned it doesn't seem to me like it would inspire a lot of confidence in Kim Jong-un in anything that Donald Trump might offer to sign with him."
