In the 1990's Bobby Welch was the leading enthusiast when it came to evangelism in the Southern Baptist Convention which is the largest protestant denomination in America. Unfortunately we have seen the truth behind cheap grace, the sinners prayer, and simply being baptized. The idea that "Once saved always saved" is Biblical has a false narrative. The Apostle Paul talks about those who abandoned the faith (Gal. 1:6), and we must be honest that we can and must do better when it comes to reaching and teaching people. Lazy Christianity is apart of our church culture and we must do better.
