To the overcomer, Christ promises a new name written on a white stone. Your old identity — defined by sin, failure, and the world — gives way to a new one. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch, but the name you receive from Christ is deeper still. Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. You were bought at a price; glorify God in your body.
