“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living water, and they have dug their own cisterns—broken cisterns that cannot hold water. — Jeremiah 2:13
God's people have forsaken the fountain of living water and dug broken cisterns that hold no water. We've all done it—gone to the world for what only God can give. Solomon tried it all and called it vanity, but Jesus stands and cries out, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink" (John 7:37). The world's wells run dry; His fountain never does.
