In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is His name by which He will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness. — Jeremiah 23:6
Jeremiah calls Him'The LORD Our Righteousness', and that's either the best news you've ever heard or the most offensive. Our own righteousness is like filthy rags, so we need a righteousness from outside ourselves. Christ becomes that for us — we're clothed in His righteousness like the prodigal in a robe, and the fine linen of the saints is His righteousness credited to us. Paul counted everything as rubbish compared to having Christ's righteousness by faith.
