So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. — Genesis 1:27

God created man in His own image. That dignity was shattered but not destroyed by the Fall. Being God's offspring, we ought not to think the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone. But here's the good news: God, being rich in mercy, made us alive together with Christ — we're His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. We're predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son.
