Search and read the scroll of the LORD: Not one of these will go missing, not one will lack her mate, because He has ordered it by His mouth, and He will gather them by His Spirit. — Isaiah 34:16
Paul's farewell to the Ephesian elders is one of the most tender moments in Scripture. He commends them to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build them up and give them an inheritance. He couldn't be with them anymore, but the Word could. The same Word that saves also sustains. When you feel alone or uncertain, you're still commended to God, and His Word still builds you up and secures your inheritance.
