You can make all the plans you want, but the Lord directs your steps. That sounds unsettling until you realize who's doing the directing. The same God who numbers your hairs and knows your frame is ordering your path. James was right — you don't even know what tomorrow holds, but you know the One who holds tomorrow. So plan with humility, and trust the hand that leads you better than you could ever lead yourself.
