The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure. — Psalm 16:5

David says the Lord is his portion — his inheritance, his cup, his all. The Levites didn't get land in Israel; God Himself was their inheritance, and every believer now shares that same portion. If God is for us, who cares who's against us? You can lose houses, health, and reputation, but you cannot lose God if He's your portion. Asaph got it: "Whom have I in heaven but you?" (Ps. 73:25-26).
