There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God. — Hebrews 4:9
There's a rest waiting for God's people that goes far beyond a Sunday afternoon nap. The grave is where the weary rest from their labors, and for the believer, death is just sleep. We groan in these bodies, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling. But that rest isn't just future — we enter it now by faith in Christ, ceasing from our own works just as God did from His. The best is yet to come.
