To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like a blazing fire and whose feet are like polished bronze. — Revelation 2:18
Those eyes see everything—the heart is desperately wicked, and He searches it. Nothing is hidden from His sight; all things are naked and open before Him. But the same eyes that pierce the darkness also see the bruised reed and will not break it. He knew Peter's failure before Peter did, and He looked on him with love. His gaze exposes sin, but His grace covers it.
