We have all felt that way—when the weight of the world presses in, when the heat is too much, when we long for rest. Even the Man of Sorrows knew this groan. But we do not escape trouble by flying away—we overcome it through the One who has overcome the world. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all. The rest we crave is not found in escape; it is found in the One who says come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
