The glory of Lebanon will come to you—its cypress, elm, and boxwood together—to adorn the place of My sanctuary, and I will glorify the place of My feet. — Isaiah 60:13

I will glorify the place of My feet. Heaven is God's throne, and earth is his footstool—and he promises to make even that footstool glorious. The glory of the latter temple would be greater than the former, pointing to a greater reality. One day the holy city will descend from heaven, and God will dwell with his people. The place where he sets his feet becomes holy ground. He is making all things new, and the glory hasn't arrived yet in its fullness.
