The everlasting Father speaks of Christ's eternal relationship with his people. He and the Father are one, and to see him is to see the Father. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, from everlasting to everlasting. Before Abraham was, i am. His love for his children isn't a passing affection—it's the eternal care of the Father of eternity, who will never leave nor forsake those he has purchased with his blood.
