A wish says, “I want to.” A will says, “I have decided.” Well-doing says, “I have done it.”

God is calling us to bridge the gap between our words and our actions—to surrender our will to His will and faithfully do the work He has given us.

The question is not, “Have I said I will?” but “Am I actually doing the will of God?”

God is not looking for people who merely say, “I will.” He is looking for people whose will is surrendered to His will and whose words are followed by action.

The real question is not:

“What have I said to God?”

but:

“What am I doing in response to God's command?”

Wish → Will → Well-doing. A genuine willingness to obey God must ultimately be demonstrated through obedience and action.

Stop simply following what is popular or pleasurable. Stand, examine your life, ask for the good old path, search the Scriptures, and walk faithfully in Christ, the established way that leads to life and rest for the soul.

Find the good old path in Christ, study God's Word and the lives of those who walked faithfully before you, test everything by Scripture, obey what you learn, and continue walking with God until you reach the eternal goal.

Do not merely know the good old path; walk in it. Stand, examine, ask God for the right way, and then deliberately follow it. In a world filled with competing voices, God’s Word and the example of Christ must remain our standard.

God is not sleeping during your waiting season. He is working.

He may be using the season to humble you, remove idols, destroy self-reliance, mature your character, strengthen your faith, and prepare you for the assignment and blessings ahead.

Therefore, don't jump out of the furnace before the work is complete.

James 1:3–4 captures the principle: the testing of faith produces patience, and patience must have its perfect work, so that you may become perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

The goal is not merely to come out of the waiting season with an answer. The goal is to come out transformed—humble, holy, obedient, completely yielded to God, and able to handle whatever He gives without losing your connection with Him.

Wait on the Lord. Be of good courage. His promise is still true, and He will do you good at your latter end.

God waits because He is working on something deeper than the immediate answer.

He uses waiting to:

• Kill the energy of the flesh
• Humble us
• Remove idols
• Teach us dependence on Him
• Shapen our character
• Prepare us for greater responsibility and results
• Do us good at our latter end
• Ensure that He receives all the glory

So, when you are waiting on God, don't assume that nothing is happening. God may be doing His deepest work in you while you are waiting for Him to do something for you.

The goal is not merely to receive the promise; it is to become the person who can receive the promise and still give God all the glory.

When God waits, He is not inactive; He is working. His waiting may be preparing us, refining our character, arranging circumstances, or positioning us to receive His promise in the right way and at the right time.

Therefore, do not interpret God's silence as abandonment or His delay as denial. Trust Him, wait patiently, and do not run ahead of His plan. His timing is purposeful, and His promises will be fulfilled according to His perfect will.

The prayer of the believer should be:

“Lord, if You increase me, don't let the increase take me away from You.”

Remember that God is the giver, we are the receivers, and everything we possess is temporary. Therefore, love God more than money, popularity, possessions, connections, or success. Lay up treasures in heaven, seek God's kingdom first, and ensure that your inner man grows stronger even as your outward life prospers.

The greatest danger of prosperity is not having much—it is allowing what you have to make you need God less.

A believer must continually remember:

“It is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.” — Deuteronomy 8:18

Therefore, prosperity must never replace prayer, consecration, gratitude, dependence on God, righteousness, compassion, and commitment to God's kingdom.
