The park was formerly known as the Wild Wood Lakes campground before the Emmert’s bought it in 1994. What started off as an interview about owning a campground turns into an amazing story about 79-year-old Jim Emmert. Born with deaf parents in the Appalachian Mountains, Jim with only a third grade education, and against all odds became a successful business owner.
