Yesterday I met a friend for lunch. I asked him, “What’s new?” Last week, I went to the movies with two friends. While waiting in the popcorn line, I asked them, “What’s up?” Do you know what everybody said? “Nothing new, same old thing.”
But these friends are wrong. In fact, everyday is a special day. Each year we have 365 days and each one is different. Some days are obviously [明顯] different, like your birthday. Other days, like New Years Day [元旦] and Halloween [萬聖節] are famous. Graduations [畢業典禮], weddings [婚禮], and anniversaries [紀念日] make many more days interesting and special.
