Every dentist should work on their own family members. Period. Ok, exception made if you don't have any living relatives. You get a pass. But maybe work on your friends, then? The point is, if you're truly competent and confident in your skills, you should be able to work on your family. And if you can't, it might be time to look into getting more practice for your practice. 

Treat every patient like family and it won't be hard to treat your family like a patient.
