In the realm of sports policy, youth sports is widely recognized as a significant contributor for to enhancing the physical and mental well-being of children. In achieving these benefits, youth sport coaches are indispensable, also influentially shaping how children and youth experience sports.

PhD candidate Saara Isosomppi conducts research focused on the day-to-day practices and relations of youth sports. In her work, she examines how coaches can infuse more playfulness, engagement, and joy into youth sport participation. In this podcast, Saara shares insights from her research.
