To celebrate the Lunar New Year this month, Zach and Chris watched the 2024 Chinese action comedy Panda Plan for the latest Everything Action Commentary.
Jackie Chan stars as a fictionalized version of himself, who is invited to an island zoo to adopt a new baby panda with extremely rare eye color. The celebration is interrupted by armed mercenaries, who have been hired by a wealthy client to kidnap the panda. Jackie, along with his bumbling manager, David (Wei Xiang), and panda nanny, Su Xiaozhu (Shi Ce), has to protect the baby panda, Hu Hu, and stay one step ahead of the mercenaries.
While watching the movie, Zach and Chris discuss the massive amount of Dairy Queen product placement, the "high-speed" forklift chase, milking a rhinoceros, the shockingly violent film Jackie is filming before heading to the zoo, the massive emotional twist at the end, and more.
You can watch Panda Plan on Tubi and sync up the commentary track to watch along.
