Meanwhile, the US eyes increased activity inside of Mexico, potentially leading to a clash between the US and Mexican governments. While all this is going on, the cartels aren't sitting still. Sinaloa continues to fight a civil war while CJNG eats at the fringes. CDN battles with other cartels, and peace in Mexico seems as far off as ever.
