Maury Travis was known as the Bi-State Strangular.  The name was given to Maury for he had murdered over 20 women across two states, Missouri and Illinois. He would rape these women in the basement and videotape their torture. After their rapes, he would strangle them and dump their bodies all over St. Louis and Illinois. 
He made a huge mistake and left an internet footprint which led to his capture.
