We have finally reached the top of Kiwi-Gore Mountain. The end of Peter Jackson's long and gloopy journey through independent filmmaking. Braindead is a feast for the eyes and a test of the sanity. A twisted, hilarious foray into demented humour and an almost Bakhtin revelry in its approach to practical effects and performance. Americans will know this film as Dead Alive but to us down under it will always be Braindead (but beautiful). 💀🍿
