Scientists wo believe consciousness developed as a result of matter coalescing until it reached a critical mass are mistaken. It is consciousness that evolves and manifests as matter.  Consciousness forms matter, not the other way around. It does this through electromagentic energy units (EEUs). Thoughts and emotions are emanations of consciousness, and when they reach a certain level of intensity, they manifest as matter. Without consciousness there would be no matter in the universe. Everything has consciousness, albeit at different levels of complexity. Complicated physical forms are not the result of previous simpler ones. In larger terms they all exist at once.
