Sometimes we need to trust that everything that we go through will eventually work together for our good. We may not know when and how, but as the saying goes, we need to trust the process. Divinity Roji this week is joined by Dr Lerato Masemola known as Dr Lerato to her patients. She is a general medical doctor in her own private practice based in Randburg, Johannesburg. In this conversation they talk about overcoming challenges and healing, being resolute, appreciating being alive and taking that as the sign that you’ve got reason to live and commit to doing the work. A true definition of choosing the perspective that empowers you.

Becoming a mom is a beautiful experience that comes with so many changes. Some of these changes and challenges that a new mom faces may lead to extreme sadness, despair and anxiety. These are commonly known as baby blues and can last about a week. Longer than this though becomes concerning and may mean that the mother is suffering from Postpartum Depression. In this week’s episode, Divinity Roji is joined in studio by mother of two, Keneiloe Myoli, who talks about her experience with Postpartum Depression.

Finding oneself is a challenge that is faced by many adults but imagine a child that finds themselves in that struggle. That coupled with seeing what you thought was your foundation fall apart.

How we see ourselves has such a great bearing on the things that we tolerate, the things and people that we attach our self-worth to has such a great influence on the things that we believe we deserve.

In this episode, Nthabiseng Ngoepe who is an author of The Mending of a Broken Vessel, is in studio with Divinity Roji and shares her journey of how the brokenness of her home and family led to her being broken and how she has found mending.

Finding purpose through pain may seem like a cliché but that is the story of Nonceba Ndukula who joined Divinity Roji in studio to share her journey. Nonceba is the founder of Nabai Foundation which provides support and mentorship to young women and girls. In this episode, she shares growing up not knowing her father, not having a relationship with her siblings, being in an abusive relationship and getting divorced, Nonceba’s journey is truly one of resilience.

The term adulting refers to the assumption of tasks that relate to normal grown up life and comes with the implication that one is not particularly ready to identify as an adult. In most instances when the term is used, the person using it, feels burdened by the responsibilities of being an adult which do not come naturally to them and therefore are overwhelmed and stressed. In this episode, Divinity Roji is joined by Yvette Aloe, who is leadership developer, NLP life-coach, wellness educator and business strategist who aim’s to change the world through changing individuals. Together they talk about security and sustainability, the privilege of being able to think and figure out purpose as well as the importance of community.

For us to heal, we have got to be able to admit that, first we are not well and secondly that we need help. The healing journey is one that will always requires us to be intentional in showing up for ourselves. In this episode, Divinity Roji speaks to actress Nomvelo Makhanya who is also founder of Silent Crisis. Nomvelo speaks on being diagnosed with bipolar, anxiety and depression, going through bullying and being grateful for the support she has had in her journey.

While food is part of our daily lives, it is not often that we think about what it is that goes into our bodies and how it makes us feel. Drawing from her life experiences and healing journey, Raine Dunn offers a variety of different services to enable people to find greater health and balance in their lives physically, mentally and spiritually.

In this week’s episode Divinity Roji has a conversation with her on the impact the food has on not just our bodies but our minds as well. We talk about focusing on giving our bodies nutrition, being deliberate about healing and the importance of equipping oneself with knowledge.

When we considering what makes a good and healthy relationship we hardly ever actually put ourselves as the people in the relationship on the list. We have all seen the step list that consists of different do’s and don’ts, right and wrongs but miss the key component of which are the individuals that come together to make the couple.
