Shawn is a Christian Mystic, Certified Enneagram Coach, Certified Integral Coach, and Pediatric Oncology Nurse.

In this interview, Shawn shares about the death of his dear childhood friend and its life-altering impact on him,  his unsettling mystical experience at age 17, his Dark Night of the Soul (along with other “dark nights”), and his powerful (and dismantling) conversion experience. He also shares about his journey with the Enneagram and how it helped him to map his spiritual and transformational experiences, including his felt experiences of the Enneagram’s Holy Ideas of Holy Faith and Holy Strength. Shawn opens up about childhood struggles with his family not appreciating or understanding his mystical path and later issues with Type 8 wife no longer connecting to him after his transformation.. He shares about feeling very small and fearful in his earlier years to coming, more recently, into a felt sense of courage–of feeling like “steel,” and invulnerable.
