The Bridge Project

EX 202 Behavioural Economics in Action: Mental Health Policies (ft. Dr Daniel Walsh)

Listen Later

In the second episode of The Bridge Project Exclusives on Behavioural Economics, we are joined by Dr Daniel Walsh. Dr Walsh is an experienced consultant with a background in risk and communications. His current research focuses on understanding how the public make sense of health and illness. In particular, how the public respond to conditions perceived as threatening and contagious. He has done his Bachelors in Psychology and Behavioural Science and MPhil in Social and Developmental Psychology from University of Cambridge.

In this episode, we discuss the stigma around mental health, the existing literature in mental health policies and steps that governments can take to promote effective mental health discussions. We also look at how behavioural science can be used to promote social distancing.
