In this episode we interview Andrew Powell, founder of route2work, to better understand why a CV is not the best way to hire talent.

Andrew comes from an estate in a small town in Wales. He was not an ideal student and openly admits that had he not joined the army at age 16 he may well have ended up in prison. He went on to become a member of the elite SAS force and realised that he had much more to give. Leaving the SAS he become one of the UKs youngest COOs, working for Colt Telecom. He wanted to make more of an impact and then began a journey to lift people from humble backgrounds and beginnings into the careers that they had thought were beyond their reach.  

Andrew has just been awarded the prestigious title of Entrepreneur of the year and more importantly to him has lifted thousands of young people from diverse backgrounds into a future that they would not have had without him and his company.
