How does Paul want believers to excel in giving?

<li>Give yourself first to the Lord by surrendering to His will.</li>
<li>Give willingly and with eagerness (it's a test of genuine love).</li>
<li>Give remembering it benefits you.</li>
<li>Give as a follow through on your commitment.</li>
<li>Give proportionally, according to how you've been blessed.</li>
</ol>

*Just like money can't buy happiness, poverty can't steal joy.
