Excessive Rumination back in your life!
On today's episode I'm joined by a man and photographer I have tremendous respect for, Senior Lecturer on the Press and Editorial Photography course at Falmouth University, David White.
Dave was instrumental to me surviving and thriving at University back in the glory days of 2012 - 2015. I have to hold my hands up and say I massively under appreciated Dave, and the other tutors, in terms of the photographic talent they brought to the course. Dave has been a photojournalist for over two decades and in that time has shot an incredible amount of work all over the world, his story on Russian Cosmonauts being a particular highlight.
However, it's not just Dave's photographic history I'm interested in talking about, it's his viewpoint as an arts degree lecturer in 2020 and what that looks like. We talk mental health in students, the value of an arts degree, rights of passage and 'the fourth year'.
You can, and absolutely should, check out Dave's work at www.nospin.com and if you've got any interest in the Press and Editorial course, for you or someone else, go to https://www.falmouth.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/press-editorial-photography for more info. Alternatively you can contact Dave or myself direct if you want the lecturer and the ex-student perspective.
