It's time to exchange our pain for God's perfect love, and we're talking about it with Kia Stephens.
You know, we usually begin to doubt God's character when we run into conflict, temptation, and pressure, but thankfully we're not alone. The giants in the faith that we look up to today often encountered revelations of who God is through their deepest pain and greatest fears.
THIS WEEK, WE'RE REFLECTING ON JUDGES 6:23-24 NIVBut the Lord said to him, “Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die.” So Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and called it The Lord Is Peace. To this day it stands in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
That phrase The Lord is Peace is translated into English from the Hebrew name for God: Jehovah Shalom, which is usually translated as The Lord Our Peace, but is so much more than our English language actually gives us. We don't even have a word in English for Shalom because it means complete wholeness and satisfaction.
A WOMAN YOU SHOULD KNOWKia's not the only woman that you should know, though. Today, my guest cohost, Tonya, and I have the honor to highlight Julieian-Alexis Roberts, a beautiful woman of God with a heart for helping women experience forgiveness. Get connected to her here.
