hey jazz babies welcome to the jazz rooms now i just wanted to do by way of an introduction a little bit of um chat about myself and and what we've got planned for the season now we work through easter so we'll be broadcasting every day through easter and of course um every day actually up until summer we may have a couple of weeks off it just depends on my schedule at that time now we've neglected the jazz baby podcast for a while because we've had pressing engagements elsewhere on on the internet and the podcast network and we were setting up a story an interactive story called immersion which is at the telltale club and that took quite a lot of time but we're back on schedule now and we're doing daily broadcasts now i've already

done my jazz class for today where i talked about intervals but what i haven't done is my jazz practice class which is working through the grade one jazz book for abrsm and some other exercises and other things but i did want to say that the jazz baby podcast is not just for teaching performers or budding jazz players to learn the syllabus it's also about recordings that i can find in the genre old recordings that haven't been heard or played for a long time um instructional books and texts and really a big fat broad study if you like of the genre teaching of the genre but most of all appreciation of the genre so we'll be chatting to jazz musicians and you know we will be interviewing jazz musicians on skype if you're a jazz musician and

as an afterthought uh a long-awaited afterthought you know i would i do wish i'd started a bit earlier but i didn't so i come from uh i come to jazz as a an excited experienced novice if that makes any sense to you at all so more um more news every day on the blog telltale club and elsewhere on the internet as explained and i'll i'll check you later actually because i've got a a class for our scales practice exciting stuff i try and make them fun don't be don't ever think scales are drudgery they're not they're really good they're really exciting so that's it for now and see you soon
