We spoke to Justin Johnson Cortez exclusively about all things 'Walker: Independence' and how important having a show that is real and authentic (especially when it comes to diversity, native languages, and wardrobe). Cortez went on to discuss his character, Calian, and how much he evolves over the season from being Abby's friend to ultimately becoming part of the gang trying to take down the "bad guys." Of course we also had to discuss some fun things like his costume, if he took anything from set, and his hair regime (because we are all jealous of the beautiful hair), and the shenaniganson set. Cortez also gave us some insights into some fun happening when the camera was not rolling and what he is looking forward to if the show gets renewed.

Synopsis:
